New Moon Overlook
New Moon Overlook was one of the first conservation neighborhood’s developed in the GBP. Its 20 homesites frame the northern rim of the Preserve and are distinguished by their dramatic views to the surrounding mountains and to the open plains and red-rock mesas of the southern Galisteo Basin.
New Moon Overlook home sites range from 13 to 44 acres. Designed with great sensitivity to the region’s scenic, wildlife habitat, cultural, and recreational values, the 1- to 4-acre building area of each home site accommodates a single-family home and a guesthouse. Ten home sites allow for a barn, stables, and corrals for horses.
All parcels offer a high degree of privacy and seclusion for residents and their guests, as well immediate access to an extensive network of private and public trails for hiking, biking, and equestrian use. The neighborhood embraces a common open-space area.
Like all properties in the Galisteo Basin Preserve, New Moon Overlook offers residents an opportunity to live in an environmentally respectful manner amid thousands of acres of protected open space—with easy access to the amenities of Santa Fe.
New Moon Overlook sold out in 2007, but parcels occasionally return to the market. One home site—New Moon Overlook Lot #6—is currently available through this website.
